Payton is a really good get!! One of the higher rated recruits we have signed in a while. Future is looking bright!
It's been a long while since Southern had three solid in-state high school prospects in the same class. I wish it didn't take so long for Hinson's staff to get this kind of recruiting traction going, and it might be too little, too late, but I'll nonetheless add my kudos.
Assuming Jimmy Beane joins the three signees next year, there would be two scholarships left, and they both probably need to go to JUCO and/or grad transfers to help add a couple more upperclassmen to the mix and give Aaron Cook a fighting chance in his senior year.
