Any Insiders have any information on who might be inking on the dotted line tomorrow and the next few days?
We have two verbal commitments for 2020, both point guards. Dalton Banks from Eau Claire, WI and Eric Butler from Smiths Station, AL (plays for Orlando Prep in Florida). They can sign LOIs starting tomorrow. Two scholarships left for 2020, assuming everyone stays.
THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did hear about the verbals…...was hoping we might get some good news on some players that could possibly REBOUND the ball. Will remain hopeful that there might be some news we weren't aware of !!!!
I loved to read Butler's comment about always wanting to defend the other team's best player; it sounds like Mullins recruited himself! Dalton looks like a really nice guard as well; great class so far, now lets get some bigs.
In today's press conference, Coach Mullins advised that they will be looking to sign a couple bigs this spring season. They are looking at HS Seniors, JC players and possible grand transfers.
Eric Butler and family sat right in front of us at the UTSA game in Orlando. Very nice people all. Eric was really into the game and pulling hard for the Dawgs. He's gonna be a good one.
At least at this point, he SEEMS like a defensive first guy who may struggle a bit on the offensive side of the ball. Reminds me of another guard from back in the day...……..I wonder what happened to that kid? : ) While he may struggle to shoot the ball, I absolutely LOVE his comments about taking on the other team's best player and doing what he can to shut them down. I look forward to seeing him on the court next year !
A new name has shown up on the verbal commits site as having been offered by the Salukis - Tyrus Baynham 6'5" SF from Tennessee Preparatory Academy.

Looks like a "Mullins" type of player but we need front court help next year.

Only players 6'8" and up with broad shoulders and banana hands need apply.
--Insert something witty here--
A 6'5 wing and a 6'8 post wouldn't be bad. Gooch could grad transfer after this season too opening up another scholly for a big.
