I know we need rebounding help and that we haven't had much luck recruiting John A. players, but Sydney Curry (6'8 265 lbs) might be worth a look. In John A.'s last two games, Curry had 17 pts/7 rbs vs Lewis and Clark; 21 pts/17 rbs vs Lakeland. Originally signed with Miami of Ohio, coached by Jack Owens (ex-SIU assistant for five years).
FYI: Jay Scrubb 6'6 G\F, the #1 rated JUCO player in the country was dismissed indefinitely from John A's basketball team.

Benson has proven that he can score, but I am hoping with a full year to recruit, that we'll get someone that can help offensively, but REALLY can make a difference on the defensive end.

It's not really that we haven't had luck there. the relationship has been quite frosty. that probably won't change in the near future.

Is that because of Smithpeters not being asked to join Mullins staff? Or something else entirely?
This is the first year Mullins has had an opportunity to recruit from Logan, we will see how it goes. The issues go back way farther the this. I can remember only one scholarship player from Logan since the 70’s.
