Sounds like SIU offered a point guard. This one is from Chipola junior college. Bring on some 6'8" or taller kids with talent please.
What I read from some of the offers is that there will be more than two more spots available.

My thoughts as well; thats the only reason why we continue to see offers to 2020 guards.
This one is a real head scratcher. Not only does this team have too many guards to begin with, this young man has only started a couple games this year (coming off injury?). Regardless, his stats both last year and this year are underwhelming, especially the FG %. I'm guessing he is a "true PG". Curious indeed.
I definitely feel there will be more than 2 signees this spring. More likely a minimum of 4. By watching who is and who isn’t playing clues are being given of who won’t be back . If SIU is still recruiting guards there is no doubt that changes to the roster are coming.

I totally agree, but this particular recruit is the head scratcher. This team needs players that can score and SHOOT the ball. This young man doesn't seem to be able to do either. Until I get a better feel for this staff's recruiting, I'm going to have to trust them, but again on paper this one is confusing to me
I totally agree. However it is obvious that Mullins isn’t convinced that the PG position is filled for the future. I fully expect major changes to the roster this offseason.
After watching more film on Zachery, he seems like he could be a difference maker handling the ball. He is a TRUE PG and looks like he does have some ability to shoot after all. Perhaps he just chooses to pass first but his court vision seems really advanced. I'd love to have this young man on the team.

If the staff doesn't see Lance Jones as a true PG (I think the jury is still out on his best role), maybe they're interested in a JUCO point guard because they're not comfortable having to start a true freshman at PG next year and want a more seasoned complement. That, and/or they just love the kid enough that they want to pursue him even with that position being somewhat crowded on the roster.
I've heard good things about Christian Shumate (Bloom HS); it sounds like he plays with an edge and is a dogged offensive rebounder. I know some of the Saluki staff follows him on social media; I hope he's a serious possibility.

Well that was an abrupt change of heart! Chipola is about an hour up the road from me, if he commits I will go catch a game or two.

Could someone remind me who SIU has signed for 2020 at this point? I remember reading about some of the recruits months ago and being impressed with the quality. Tried a search online, but couldn't find what I'm looking for. Thanks!
