Looking at the recruiting grid, front court seems to be a pretty glaring weakness after this season. Is that the consensus around here? Do we have room for a transfer for next year?

The low post is a glaring weakness after this season. So far, we don't have any commits to fill this void for next season, but others on the board continue to indicate this will be addressed. Fingers crossed.
I think we need one big. Dembele as a back up is fine. Jeramic still there too for one more year...
Mullins has made it clear he has no problem playing with 5 guards or non traditional posts. "If I had 5 Marcus Domasks I would be a happy coach."
Don't forget our big man this year did no sign with us until April or something. There are plenty of options to fill the need.

I’m fully expecting them to do what they did last year and find a BCS big man transfer like Benson. Not only are you getting a guy that you have college film on as opposed to high school film but you’re not bringing in some raw big that’s gonna take a few seasons to develop. Not sure if there’s any Wolves connections out there or it’s a wait and see, because they’re going to be an attractive destination when it comes to playing time and potential. Remember, they also had 6’8 Malik William transfer from Clemson but he had to withdraw because of injuries.
I’m not really worried about the staff ignoring big men in the recruiting market right now. The staff knows what they’re doing, Mullins coached Cam Krutwig for 2 years. I think the goal is to load the program with guards for now and plug in bigs via transfer. I expect things to even out more once the program is back on track.

If they are able to get two bigs of some quality this spring, I'd feel a lot better. Dembele has concerning injury baggage (stress fracture, then a broken leg) to go with questions about his actual play, and Jeremic has mostly DNP'd for a team lacking size, even before his injury. Don't know that you can comfortably count on either to produce in a season that you want to take a big step forward next year.
And just from a depth standpoint, you don't want to be in a situation again like this year where you're relying on Gooch to play the 5 or making Domask guard guys who are a lot bigger and could take a toll on him, physically, for any extended stretches.

Fair concerns over Dembele. I think hes going have a healthy rest of his career. Has a whole year now to rehab and get ready. If you want 2 bigs though someone has to transfer.

I'm guessing at least one, if not two guys, will move on, but we'll see how it plays out.
Dalton Banks stats last night against Chippewa Falls: 38 pts, 8rbs, 2 asts, 6 stls
Any word on how Butler’s been doing? Haven’t seen much online.

Me neither. I don't see that Orlando Christian Prep is posting their game stats anywhere.

Was wondering the same thing. There's nothing on him anywhere. Apparently they're ranked #1 but seems like A.J. Brown is getting all the love:

I was just about to post this. I'm even more fired up about him now that I see he is following SIU program's very closely. Unfortunately, he continues to struggle from deep as he went 1-6 from 3pt range. But EVERYTHING else is looking really really good !!!
Looks like Wisconsin is our new recruiting pipeline!

Yep, credit to assistant coach Pat Monaghan who came over from UW-Milwaukee.
