Could make sense, though I’d imagine he’d have to sit next year.

@cowboydawg

There's no doubt about but he is a good shooter and from the assist number looks to be a good passer. Hell I think the 6.5 rebounds a game would have lead our team! His numbers are pretty close to Domask's numbers. Just sayin he couldn't hurt.... We have plenty of scholarships.

He’s going to have lots of colleges after him. He’s a very skilled player and would be a big plus to this team in 21-22.

Sound good! He definitely would have led us in RBs: BB 5.6/g, MD 5.2/g.

Feed him Quatros 3 times a week - bulk him up! 😀

That's a physique that SEMO's new coach might appreciate. 😀

I was just stating the obvious, not a knock on his abilities. 🏀

Confident Peterson would be a great addition for SIU!  More of a point forward wing than a back to the basket small forward.

On the other hand, its kind of telling he chose Rice over Loyola Chicago as a Senior in high school.  While he is followed by Illinois Wolves on Twitter, none of SIU's coaching staff are following him.

Not sure what that tells? Rice has a top tier academic reputation! If you read his twitter, he gets excellent bball reviews!

I agree on your two points.  I did not infer anything derogatory about Rice or Peterson.

Peterson was the 3rd leading scorer for Rice this year at 11.1PPG. He played in all 32 games this season and was a starter in 31 of them.  He played in all 32 games and was a starter in 24 games as a Freshman there.

Peterson had 2 MVC offers (Drake, Loyola) 1 American Conference offer (Tulane) and 1 C-USA offer (Rice) These were his top offers over 10 other schools in the MAC, Horizon, Big West, Patriot, Big South, Ivy, and Colonial schools.

On October 8, 2016 Peterson was offered by Loyola Chicago.  Rice University offered on July, 14, 2017.  Peterson played for the Illinois Wolves at the time.  Bryan was an Assistant Coach, with Illinois Wolves connections, at Loyola and might have been the coach that was recruiting Peterson.  IMHO there may be a little distance in that relationship since Peterson choose to go to Rice over Loyola.  It is also an interesting point that none of our coaches, including the two coaches with direct connections to the Illinois Wolves, are following Peterson on Twitter.

These two points are just my opinion and with no facts, other than the two links below, regarding Peterson's recruitment.
