When are we going to start getting some commits ???
Domask and Harvey committed on May 8th last year, just sayin

Now you have done it ! Adding rational thought is frowned upon around here 😀 😀
Don't think it will be that long before we get at least a couple of commits. Since recruits won't be able to set up on campus visits this should be a quicker process. I would fully expect a few recruits signing on the 15th IF the NCAA keeps those dates.

We will get at least one next week.
Craving a McBride Special!

Come on BK, we both know that last year was completely different. Mullins had just come on board. He's had over a full year now. I fully expect some movement within the next 2 weeks, likely 2-3 players.
Of course last year was different. I also doubt Bryan is going to make the same mistake of bringing in kids who will just jet next year. Patience it Takes time
Zion Griffin - Hindsale Grad - transferring from Iowa State. SIU has been in contact. 6'6 PF. Sit one play 2
Griffin is navigating a new recruiting landscape where he’ll try to narrow down his options without in-person campus visits or meeting the coaching staff due to the coronavirus pandemic. Griffin said he was in touch with “15 to 16 schools in the first three days.” He’s been in contact with Buffalo, Oregon State, Northern Illinois, Illinois-Chicago, Eastern Michigan, Toledo, Tennessee State, Ball State, Southern Illinois, Wyoming and Elon.
Per a report, he cut his list and Southern isn’t on it. UIC is one of the finalists. UIC’s new coach, former ISU assistant Luke Yaklich, is going to be formidable on the recruiting trail.
Great read, thanks for the article.
Was at Southern from 78 to 83.
Missed Glenn and Corky Abrams, but did get to see Wayne Abrams and Gary Wilson.
Attended the Home game against Indiana St with Larry. Great game and we had a decent season.
After that we went down hill fast. I think it was within two or three years we went 0-16 in conference play.
Happy to see Brian Mullins back!
As you all have been saying, lets get a two athletic bigs and we will be right there.
I was at that great game. SIU had Milt Huggins and Wayne Abrams at guard - two really good players. Gary Wilson was a good one too!
(Unfortunately, Sycs had Larry Bird and Carl Nicks! Great team!)
I was there too. Awesome game. My brother, an ISU grad was there as well. He always tells people that it was the loudest place he has ever been. And Mr_woogers, we we there at the same time, but I graduated in 82. I guess that I was more focussed on my school work and I was behaving more than you. 😉
I actually hit the books at halftime and during timeouts!!! 🤓 🤓 🤓

Agreed and I know it takes time. But I've read where some say it takes as many as 3, 4 or even 5 years. And my personal belief is, while it will NOT take that long, if it does the players who want to win will not wait around that long and will leave their senior years, if not sooner.
- @mr_woogers same here. 🤥 from what little I can remember from back in the day. 😁

Harvey, Domask, Jones, and Brown will be Seniors in the 4th year. We're in trouble if it's taking longer than that

Nice.
March on triumphantly!

Unless this kid is the 2nd coming of Rolan Roberts, at 6'6", I'm okay missing out on him. That being said, I'm a bit concerned that SIU doesn't seem to be a destination for quality low post guys. I'm not in the know about what Mullins has in the works, but it certainly seems like we're in on a lot more impactful small forwards and guards than low post guys. I'm hopeful that Mullins & Co surprise everyone on signing day.
