Out of curiosity, how many offers did JD Muila have?

Not sure exactly if they offered but South Florida, East Tennessee State, and Missouri State were all in the running.  I think it came down to Missouri State and SIU as of last night.

Really glad to see Mullins finally listened to the expert advice here and (no doubt reluctantly) decided to recruit a big! I really don't think he realized we needed one, so good work, Insiders!

I'm sure if we all keep talking about that need, he might just sign another one, so keep the pressure on, guys!

Cross off Dontrelle McQuarter.  He committed to Rider two hours ago.  My educated guess for our next signing is Adong Makuoi 6'9" C/PF from Daytona State CC.

I would like to see us go after JD Muila teammate Samba Kane. He showed some promise at Illinois his freshman year in limited playing time.

I just looked it up and you're correct. 

What about teammate Maurice Calloo?  Former Oklahoma State recruit?  He's also Canadian.

You guys are just throwing out wild guesses now.  SIU has no connections to those players!  🤣

Cross off Dontrelle McQuarter.  He committed to Rider two hours ago.  My educated guess for our next signing is Adong Makuoi 6'9" C/PF from Daytona State CC.

I would agree on Adong Makuoi... he fits the description based off of the tweet above.  Probably Canadian, JUCO transfer, Big.  

So this is an actual commit right?  We don't have to wait till April 15th because he is from a JUCO and not high school..

Jimmy Beane is at Daytona State.  Francois came from Daytona State.  I don't know if that helps us or hurts us.

I wonder if it puts them more on our radar.  One of our former commits, Chris Payton, was teammates with Muila at Indian Hills

Payton had some VERY good games this season, which was cut short by injury.
