@insaluki to kind of figure out how the staff will fill out the roster , I think you gotta try to get inside Bryans head a little bit and see if he sees Domask as more of a 3 or more of a 4. There are pluses and minuses to both. I don't think Marcus is as good of rebounder as a Matt Shaw Or O'Brien, but he is perhaps more gifted offensively. If you have a starting lineup of Jones, Harvey , Domask, Big Forward? and Muila, I think this would be a better rebounding and scoring lineup. If you have a lineup of Jones, Shooting Guard?, Harvey, Domask, Muila you are maybe going to be quicker/better defensively but not as good rebounding.
Of course with the smaller lineup when we go against a 4 like Childs he is gonna give Marcus trouble.
I don't foresee Mullins playing a lineup where he has 2 guys on the floor at the same time that aren't a threat to score from beyond the arc, such as Dembele and Muila.
I know recruiting is never a certainty until the kids are on campus and in uniform, but, I'm almost certain SIU will land either Makuoi or Coulibaly, maybe even both, and soon. Put it this way, if I were a gambling man, I'd drop a large sum on it happening.
I still think Mullins and Co would like D'Avanzo too. They want their stretch 5!
I hope this is true! You hearing this Saluki Bob? Throw in a talented PG and a 6-7 slasher and we're all set!
Where the heck is Saluki Bob? I miss that guy.
Wish I knew. Lost touch. Hope he is ok.
He is buddies with the guy that caused a lot of problems and helped kill the last site. I guess he just never signed up because of that.
I like Bob and I wish he would join. Hopefully some day he gets the urge to do so

Bob's a really good guy. Hope ties with that individual aren't preventing him from sharing his love for SIU and Saluki Athletics on this site. C'mon back Bob!

Agree with everything you say. That being said, I'm not sure how much Dembele is going to be playing next season. I'm not predicting it, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him gone after next season. I know there were issues which limited his PT, but in the time he was on the floor, I simply didn't see much. But that is solely my opinion. Here's hoping I'm wrong and he shows me a lot this season.
Good to see other players/recruits lend their recruiting assistance.
That said, it seems like this kid was really high on Southern a month or so ago and then has slow-played the process in search of better offers, and he has gotten some recent offers, such as Temple and St. Bonaventure. If they get the 6-5 prep school wing who was mentioned earlier in the thread and looks quite talented in his own right, maybe losing him wouldn't be as much of a disappointment.

Temple just got Butler transfer Khalil Battle 6'5 SG. 4* recruit out of HS. So maybe we're still in the picture for Williams.

This to me is our least inspiring offer... Hopefully I am wrong, but when BK posts something like this it means he is probably coming...
I am waiting for the commitment information on the two bigs!!

Not this time. I just saw this on twitter and passed it on. I don’t do Recruiting. Ever
@bleacher-bum I think you are correct on the 3 bigs, unless one has range and can play more than just the 5. As of right now I see Muila and Dembele as 5s , one more and I think we are done at that position.
I disagree. Dembele is a big injury-prone question mark. And what if someone else gets hurt? We're right back to where we were last season (with Benson as our only big). Need at least a couple more. I'm fine with another transfer (Makoui, D'Avanzo), but I'd also really like to see us bring in a post player we can develop for four years (Coulibaly, Filewich).

Spot on rawdog. Can never have enough good bigs.
March on triumphantly!
