Two of the players we're supposedly recruiting (Adong Makoui, Todd Burt) were on Twitter today touting offers from other schools. I'm starting to freak out....we only have 7 scholarship players officially on our roster for next year.
Just looked at their Twitters and Adong is congratulating someone he knew on a Northern Illinois offer and Todd Burt announced a DII offer from Catawba College. None of our staff is even following Todd Burt too.
Burt also has a recent offer from NE Oklahoma CC, so grades might be an issue.

I don't think we need to panic. Not sure how many players we will sign but I am sure that Mullins has a plan. I wouldn't believe everything you read on the internet especially when it comes to recruiting. Not everything is as it seems.

I was looking into him too and can’t find anything either. There isn’t a Malik on the Quartz Hill Roster

You're right. I didn't catch that. It freaked me out because we are expected to get Makoui. We must sign more players and at least a couple bigs!

I was going to ask why people post players that have no ties to SIU..........and then I saw this kid was followed by Bryan Mullins. : ) He is a stretch forward who, without having seen film, seems like he would be a valuable piece. Nice find !!!
@mdogs1 you are correct , no need to panic, still makes the fans a little apprehensive though , when we have 6 spots to fill and only one public commit to date ..... it doesn’t help when Dana Ford got , what, four commits in a week??? Muila was a very important piece , here’s to hoping Mullins is able to bring in several more that he wants !

Watched his highlight video of his sophmore season...he's got a nice stroke from outside (only shot 34% but that will likely improve). Seemed to be a pick and pop guy in their offense and looks to be pretty athletic (he played the point on their full court diamond press). He did show he could bang around a bit down low and score with his back to the basket. He would be a good get, but may get some high major looks. I could see a Northwester go after a guy like this.
Remember, we had close to the weakest bench in the Valley last year. It won’t take much to improve on that. With a few things falling into place, we could have a very solid bench.

Coach Monaghan recently followed Neigo. It appears Bryan has been following him for some time. Bryan was probably watching Neigo as an Assistant Coach at Loyola when the kid was playing high school ball. In fact the Holy Cross Coaching Staff followed Neigo after Bryan did.
Things will hopefully become a lot clearer here in the next few days. With more than a year to prepare, there are some kids that this staff have coveted that will possibly sign. Hoping a player like Domask and his particular situation happen again is not likely.
