Getting one of Staton-McCray or Jeremiah Williams would be a win. Just amateur investigating leads me to believe Williams might be Temple-bound (he's announcing next Wednesday). Very similar type players though, both 3 stars on 247Sports and both 6'5, ~180. They have Williams listed as a forward and the 76th ranked forward in the country, Staton-McCray as a guard and the 71st ranked guard in the country.
This is why I don’t do recruiting. I have no clue what the hold up is. Trusting the word of an 18 year old kid is always a risky venture. I am still told it is done. I have no other answers

Temple seems to be making last minutes offers to many of the guys we been recruiting. Just kinda strange that are they are following same guys as us.

Owl bet the Salukis come out on top
...sorry
try to remember, while chewing your nails off waiting for signings, that this is a very different recruiting cycle.
Craving a McBride Special!

most here wouldn't listen if you did have answers

Knowing that additional challenges exist in recruiting this year more than in the past, on top of having 5 spots to fill, likely only add to the concerns some may have, and understandably so.
I've decided that I'm going to give it to the end of the month. If there is no movement, I WILL be very concerned that this team will end up with at least one, likely more, roster warm body fill ins (see Jeremic) rather than players that are going to take this team to the next level.
It's important to remember they already have Banks, Butler, and Muila locked up and Harvey is essentially a member of this recruiting class. There's still a lot of good talent out there and still becoming available every day. If they end up getting Staton-McCray, this class is probably close to or on par with last year's successful class. And I still feel they'll get a transfer or two.
Just listened to Reis interview with Coach. He said that JD has a high motor and as long as he can stay out of foul trouble, he can see him getting 8-9 rebounds per game !!! Admitted they have to work on his FT's but said his work ethic immediately translates to the D1 level.
When asked about signing more players in the next 24-48 hours, Coach said it was possible, but didn't sound optimistic in my opinion. Mentioned the circumstances surrounding the pandemic making things different. He also said while it's possible they can sign a couple grad transfers here, it is also possible that they sign some players out of HS. Basically, there simply wasn't a lot in the conversation that would lead someone to believe there are really good players about to sign imminently.
Here's hoping he's just being modest.

Here's the interview:
I suspect that most media would not like Mullins compared to the former coach. The prior regime was eminently quotable while Brian seems to be more reserved/thoughtful. We will never be embarrassed post Murray State loss with BM like with prior management.

This post is a good example of why I like Saluki Insider. Sort of snarky but well intentioned and the comment makes me laugh. Kudos to all those who have worked on this website. I would guess Saluki Insider will be around a long time. I look at it at lease once per day. Thanks to Bar Keep et al.
WOOF!
