Nobody here has any clue what the staffs true targets are. Nobody knows how hard they are recruiting any one person. There is evidence put forward in premium that the staff had backed of Williams for whatever reason.

I’m as disappointed we are missing on guys as much as the next person but some of you fellas need to step off the ledge.
You miss a lot more recruits than you snag when you’re in our position. It’s just more publicized in 2020. We’re dealing with 18-20 year old kids in the middle of a pandemic. Stuff’s weird right now. Recruiting is like gambling, as well. No guarantees on players or their skill.

Dude, take a walk or something. Things are going to be OK. Domask didn't commit til May last year. Lots of things happen over the course of recruiting and you can't live and die w/ a few guys who we THINK the coaching staff have zeroed in on (even though there's no way to confirm what they are currently thinking) signing elsewhere. We lost a post player. We signed one of the best JUCO posts in the country. We lost 2 senior guards (one of which wasn't even playing when we took off) and we have already brought in 3 (Harvey, Banks, Butler). Both Davis and Francois were still going to be bench players. Not sure if you realize, but we HALF OF A CALENDAR YEAR before we start playing games....at the earliest....lots of things can (and will) change in that period of time.

I just can’t imagine the coaching staff going hard after these guys committing to lowly basketball schools. I wonder if the fact that they can’t go on campus visits hurts recruiting. SIU wasn’t at the top of my list until I stepped foot on campus and really got a feel for the area, then it was a no brainer. If Bryan had a chance to speak face-to-face with these guys, walk them around our facilities, and meet the team, I feel like we’d have a few more commits already. I’m still not worried! Just some thoughts
I like Brown as well, looks like he worked really hard to remediate some of his weak skills from high school. What I wonder about is what happened to his shooting/scoring skills from his high school years. If I remember correctly he was quite the offensive threat but seems like not at the college level. It seems like he put that on hold until he made the adjustment to the pace, strength and conditioning levels in the college game. Any thoughts?

There are people that would say there are no concerns even if SIU didn't sign a single player this year. There are others that are really really concerned. Most of us, however, fall somewhere in between. That being said, I will NEVER understand why people get called out for having either opinion. I love this site because there are so many diverse opinions, I love this site because there are MANY more people that have information on this team than I do all the way up here in NW Indiana. Listen, if someone is concerned because things don't look good, they're not "on the ledge", they're concerned. And why? Because they LOVE Saluki Basketball. We are all here for the same reasons. Try to take that into account before you bash.
