Bryan called talking to him about the program while also assessing the kid. Kid likes the talk and is interested puts a team on his list hoping they will offer if he shows interest.

Exactly. Some of these recruits we treat like superstars on here don't even have D1 offers. Some will post non-existent offers on their twitter sites just to entice other schools. Can't really blame them, I guess.

@austinsaluki Don't make fun of 'em...my dad played there! His coach was a young Norm Sloan, who went on to coach NC State to a National Title and later coached at Florida. My dad was a starting Guard in 1951-52 and one of the top college scorers in the state of South Carolina. I did not inherit his talent. 🤣

Some of the "misses" they've been reporting were actually kids we never even offered. It's fun to speculate, but there's a whole lot of misinformation out there.

If he came to SIU I would see him as a project with a high upside to be a very solid post in the Valley.
