It's basically a way of saying "I'll mind my business but I know something you don't." Or if someone is unbothered by something. In this scenario, it's definitely a good thing.
@quatroschallengesaluki All that being a preferred walk-on means is you are guaranteed a spot on the roster, it has nothing to do with getting a scholarship in the future. If a scholarship is left open for a year that scholarship can be given to a preferred walk-on instead of being left unused.
