Another point guard we have reached out to. 1046 names and counting in the transfer portal.
We get a lot of "SIU is reaching out to..." but this is interesting at least:
He says Southern Illinois, Texas A&M, Troy, UT-Arlington, and UMKC are the five programs that have been recruiting him the hardest.
He would be a grad transfer Senior and he's only listed at 5'11" but his passing and stealing numbers are impressive. He was 13th in the country in assist rate last year and 3rd in the country in steal %.
He's really been one of the best passers in college basketball in his career. He was 84th in the country in assist rate his Freshman year, 21st in the country his Sophomore year, and #1 in the country his Junior year.
Same thing with steal %. 178th his Freshman year, 7th his Sophomore year, 48th his Junior year.
True PG who, while not a great 3pt shooter, is a high level passer and is a very good defensive player. He would seem to fit the "SIU system" very well. Will watch this with interest.............

Looks like he would be a very good get to compliment Banks. Would move Jones to the 2 full time. I would love to see Jones at the 2 and Domask at the 3 full time next year!
Jones already has game changing abilities, but I agree he/team would be much better off with him at the 2. Then, as you say, Domask at the 3, multiple possibilities at the 4 and JD / Kyler at the 5. Now we're cooking with fire.

How do you keep Wonders out of the starting lineup next year!
@salukis60 let us not put expectations on someone before thet even show up for practice expectations can lead to disappointing results let the young man develop and see what happens

I have been cautioning MYSELF as much as anyone else not to get overly excited over a player who has not played a single game in Div 1 basketball. That being said, I've been watching high school hoops for well over 30 years and I am as excited about him coming here as any other player, including Kevin Dillard. One stated concern was the level of competition in which he plays. That might turn out to be a blessing, as if he played downstate, there is a definite possibility that he might have been recruited by some Power 5 schools. I have been drinking the Wonders Koolaid since Day 1, I am just starting to get more vocal about it. Good luck to him and his team in the remainder of the State Playoffs.
Next game for Wonders and Iron Mountain is Tuesday:
The Mountaineers (17-0) will face McBain (16-0) Tuesday night at 6 p.m. Central at Lake City High School in an MHSAA Division 3 Quarterfinal game.
Congrats to Foster. That is quite the list to be included on.
