Alston Mason (had an offer from SIU) commits to Moser and Oklahoma. He was a long shot to begin with, but he had an offer from Loyola too.

If we really have one open slot, I can't imagine they'd go the HS route unless they're completely blown away by one. Makes much more sense to get some Junior or Senior leadership. But I guess it's still possible another player transfers out since Long did today.

No inside information, but I expect at least one more scholarship to open up and I think Mullins is looking for a PG and tall athletic wing. I could see him taking a senior for that athletic wing position...I expect a more experienced person at PG.
I think ideally we'd fill both those spots with Grad Transfers and leave ourselves at least two open schollies for 2022. But I guess you also want to look at taking the best players available.
Tough matchup tomorrow for Iron Mountain. Flint Beecher is going for its 9th state championship!
Guessing Southern might have some interest in Aquan Smart, who recently went in the portal after not playing much his freshman year at Maryland. He's from Evanston, though he didn't go to Evanston HS like Lance. I'm sure the coaching staff knows him fairly well.
I just watched the Iron Mountain vs Schoolcraft game on Amazon Firestick. Wonders reminds me a whole lot of Marcus Domask in his demeanor, court awareness, and skill set. I would say he may be a better ball handler than Marcus, and he dribbled and spun his way into the lane several times through heavy traffic. Has a nice fall away jump shot. I was prepared to be impressed by his on court performance, I was also tremendously impressed by him being the only Iron Mountain player to run down to the other teams coaches and pay respect to them at game's end.
First you build the culture.

He is being followed on Twitter by both Mullins' and coach Mamon. He wad the 3rd rated player in Illinois for 2020 according to Prephoops.com. Went to Niles North HS.

FIRST QUARTER
0:00: Beecher 16, Iron Mountain 8. Bucs went on a 13-0 run to take control. Keyon Menifield with eight points, Carmelo Harris with seven for Beecher. Jurgen Kleiman with five for Iron Mountain. (Or as the Bally Sports analyst has twice called the Mountaineers, “Iron City.”
1:43: Beecher forces a timeout with a 9-0 run to take a 12-6 lead. Keyon Menifield with six points already. How was this guy not a Mr. Basketball finalist? In the Bucs’ loss to Orchard Lake St. Mary’s, he scored 27 points. More than anyone else on the floor. Carmelo Harris with five points for the Bucs.
3:36: Timeout with Iron Mountain leading 6-3. Mountaineers already have three turnovers, though
4:09: Carmelo Harris of Beecher draws a charge from Foster Wonders. (Love that name!) Iron Mountain fans aren’t happy.
Does not look good for Iron Mountain and Foster Wonders going into half.
SECOND QUARTER
0:00: Beecher 38, Iron Mountain 19. Keyon Menifield with 20 points on 9-for-15 shooting. (Do we need to say he plays for Beecher since Iron Mountain only has 19 points?) Carmelo Harris with 11 points for Beecher. Jurgen Kleiman with 10 points for Iron Mountain.
2:18: Holy cow! Keyon Menifield gets fouled and as he falls backwards to the floor from 15-17 feet away, yet he still banks a shot and makes the free throw to give Beecher at 31-15 lead. Have I asked how this guy wasn’t a Mr. Basketball finalist?

Will either be an ugly loss or a storybook comeback led by our very own future Saluki !!!!
Third quarter
0:00: It’s been the Keyon Menifield Show through three quarters. The Beecher senior has 31 points, as many the entire Iron Mountain team. Beecher leads 62-31. Menifield, by the way, has no major college offers. Is Tom Izzo watching this game against his former high school team? Menifield is 14-for-21 from the field.
4:31: Beecher 47, Iron Mountain 24. This one is over, boys and girls.
