Terry Roberts to Bradley. Yuck.
Even worse when it's to a rival! Bummer
Calm down I am not even sure he had an offer. We have one spot and the staff is being very very picky. If they don’t get what they want it will go unused

Not using the open scholarship doesn't make sense at all just like it made no sense last year

If you have 6 sophomores and 5 freshman it does. If they can get a grad transfer they will use it
Exactly, the extra year keeps everyone where they were , class wise....trying to balance will be important.

The only reason it would make sense to me is they're very high on Foster Wonders and they think he'll have somewhere near Domask impact in his Freshman year. But if the Freshmen play like Freshmen, you're looking at a young roster again that lacks athleticism that probably won't compete with the top of the Valley.

SIU could really use at least one more high-level athlete to compete with a stiff top half of the MVC. The staff knows it and is trying to bring someone in. So far, no dice, but I think they’ll get someone (may or may not be exactly who they want).
I don’t think they want to punt on Marcus Domask and Lance Jones’ third year on campus.

We're in the final 4 of Tylor Perry. 5'11 point guard out of Fort Coffee, Oklahoma. Averaged 17.9 PPG, 2.5 APG this year on 44.8% FG and 41.5% 3 PT FG as a Sophomore at JUCO.
Looks like he was a 3 star coming out of Springdale, Arkansas:
Really think we need bigger players. We are already undersized, can’t help but wish for bigger stronger more athletic players on our team for next year.
I don't know if I'd say Southern is undersized, with four bona fide options at the 5 currently on the roster in Muila, Filewich, Ebube and Dembele. That's pretty rugged, particularly assuming Muila is healthy.
Where Southern could use some length and athleticism is at the 4, to offer a more athletic complement to D'Avanzo and maybe allow Domask to play the 3, which would improve Southern's overall length and size. The coaches are definitely pursuing some of those athletic 6-6 types in their spring offers, but they're also clearly not content to just have Jones and Banks as PG options since they're also targeting transfer point guard help.
Will they bring in one more recruit or more this spring? We'll see how it shakes out.
I still say we are undersized. Muila has been hurt the last TWO Seasons not sure how he will do moving forward, Filewich had a nice Freshman season but really struggled with athletic bigs, Ebube has a huge upside but will be a Freshman, and I will be hugely surprised IF Dembele plays at all next year and even if he does he has unfortunately had a ton of injuries. SO to get to the top of the Valley I agree with you that we need more size and athleticism . I still think that SIU will sign TWO more this spring. A PG and a athletic wing.

How can you not be high on Foster Wonders?

I think our Freshman class on paper is really promising, but they are just Freshman. I still think our lack of athleticism is a concern and not sure that has been addressed. Foster Wonders is a great prospect and seems to be a great person, however his competition level is about to majorly increase and there will be an adjustment period.

Nice nine minute Senior year highlight video of Gregg. Even has some video evidence of Gregg scoring several times over Gaige Prim and Drew Timme (0:41-1:15)! Lots of buckets downhill, in the paint, and mid-range!! Would be a good addition to the Dawgs perimeter shooters!!!
