Those who had premium knew this was who the staff wanted. They got their man and I am very happy
This ... is exactly what SIU needed! So stoked on this! Welcome Ben!
--Insert something witty here--
I'm excited to get this guy! I'm curious how the rotation fills out right now. We have a bunch of talented players and only so many minutes to go around! A good problem to have for sure!

That Premium membership is worth every penny 🤣 You are spot on, this is exactly the type of player we needed and wanted very excited about this addition😀
Believe his dad was a pretty good player for Bradley under Molinari in the 90s?
I also like the fit; he brings something a little different to the table than some of the other guys and should give good minutes at the 3 and 4 spots. I'm especially hopeful he can be an asset on defense in guarding length ... guys like Mosley, Williamson, Key, etc.

Love that they picked up a 6'7" guard! Much needed size in the back court! Can't wait to see what he can bring to Carbondale for his final year of eligibility.
Also I'm still holding onto my pipedream of re-recruiting Aaron Cook.

Former WIDB Sports Director and Dawg Pound President. Since my freshmen year, SIU Basketball has not appeared in a NCAA or NIT postseason game.
This is exactly what SIU needed. A tall, athletic guard/forward with a lot of college experience. Also cool to get a former Simeon High School product given their rich history in Chicago.

Give it up 🤣
cook is not coming back to SIU
Good get, just what we needed, and as has been mentioned he was our main target. This leaves us with a scholarship to use on the deep 2022 class. If we hadn't signed a grad transfer we wouldn't have any rides right now for 2022.
I can see us starting:
6'2" Banks PG
6'1" Jones SG
6'7" Coupet Jr. 3rd guard/wing
6'6" Domask F
6'8" Muila C
More athletic starting lineup, but plenty of other guys will get lots of playing time. May not have enough playing time to go around, as we may be a very solid 13 or 14 deep. Even though we have 4 centers I can see Dembele being an emergency plan if we have injury problems like we did last year. This year we can probably sustain a couple injuries and be ok. Last year we didn't have the depth.

Pretty level headed posters on the Little Rock board. Sounds like he was liked and they wish he had stayed. Most are saying it's a lateral move, which given SIU's recent struggles is probably fairly accurate, for now. However, SIU definitely has a higher upside for next year, his last year playing college ball. Also, who knows what else may have been going on to make him decide a move was warranted.
