He's a project, but Nagy has a really good eye for big men potential. The press release said the staff feels he was under recruited and shows great potential. He has decent handles and a nice shooting touch for someone so big. Other than that he is very raw. Needs to develop quickness and post moves, but I can see the potential. He was the #5 C in the 2023 rankings in Minnesota according to Prephoops.com. Darreon Reddick is the connection here recruiting wise since he was at SIUE last year. ESPN has him listed at 3*

Mayo seems to me like more of a Mullins-style, blue collar player but I do like his game and wouldn’t complain.
If signing Mayo helps us keep Davis, by all means go after him. I also think he is a pretty good player and experienced.
