Anthony Sr. might be a darn good HC. Lots of experience and he was a terrific player as are his sons. I'm betting he would relate to the players way better than Hinson. Definitely should be considered.
I've read a lot of social media from commits and current players about Anthony Beane Sr., Justin Walker, and John Clancy being the reason they are at or headed to SIU. Brad Autry's name rarely comes up. Don't ever recall reading Barry's name as a reason a player committed.

I am sure he is. Just not sure how much recruiting he does. I do see him on the floor working with the players on pre-game warm ups. I also understand he is the big man coach and has done a good job coaching Pippen and Bol. Not sure how much influence he has had on Rudy's post performances.
Where are we at on scholarships and recruiting?
We have 2 open scholarships.
We have Darius Beane, who might follow his Father. So he is a maybe.
We have Jimmy Beane, who if he makes grades, still might follow is Uncle. So he is a maybe.
We have Chris Payton, who quit his high school basketball team mid season. So he could be a maybe.
So, I assume we need to recruit 2-5 players for this coming season. The maybe's might make Bryan's hair turn gray at 32 years old. LOL

Does anyone have any information on the 4 redshirts-Swedura, Schafer, Dembele, Fall? How did they perform in practice? Spring workouts? Strengths and or weaknesses? Rumors?
Only one I heard anything about is Schafer and I was told he is a very very good shooter. I know the two bigs have potential but are raw and need timec

Any word on why Taylor and Payton backed out? Do you think Mullins has replacements that could be even better recruits? Hard to think they were okay with playing for Barry, but are not comfortable with Bryan.
Payton is toxic stay away. As for Taylor SIU is in pretty good shape with a Higher ranked kid out of Chicago Simeon. Like I said earlier I don’t know the story. He could be upset over the coaching change or he could already be recruited over . I wish him well but I trust Bryan Mullins
