It appears Payton changed his name to "Committed" for the Grid! 😉
I'm not concerned about whether Payton shows up at SIU or not, just thought it was interesting that one media member ranked him top 5 in Illinois given the fact he did not play his full Senior year!
He’s actually a very talented player. But there’s a reason he committed to Hinson lol.

...or is it someone else? 🤔

Aw, come on....just tell us!
Now it's official. Only four players remain from the BBQbarry days. Frankly, that's two more than I projected. I'm okay with Bryan cleaning house. Good luck to the former Salukis.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
I appreciate the update!
Could you add Will Keller, 6'7", F, as a W/O Junior? He is listed on the Official SIU Roster web page.
He's making great progress.

So we now actually have a 15 person deep bench including the two w/o players? Amazing and hopefully this fall/winter will be exciting in the dale!

Unlike PT and Wooden Jr. he is liable to develop this players so half of them aren't rotting on the bench not improving.

I just realized if Amadou Fall goes to JUCO and puts up some nice numbers and develops, who knows, he could end up back at SIU his last 2 years.

Hey Spike, I don't know. Don't you think that if Bryan would have wanted him he would have hung on to him?

I was meaning if he develops. He had very little basketball under his belt when he signed.
It wouldn't shock me if it was an amicable split and he knew he would get little if any playing time. In all likelihood he is a guy who should have went JUCO to begin with.

Looks good. Still need to get Will Keller on the grid as his name being on the website confirms he'll be on the team. I'm beginning to doubt Taggart is still walking on. He committed a long time before a lot of these recent additions and he's never been added on the website. He is still listed on the football roster, so maybe he's just playing football now. The football site has him at 6'3 so no big loss there if he doesn't play basketball. Maybe they're waiting until after football to add him on the basketball roster? It seems like Mullins is moving past most all Hinson guys and Taggart would fall under that category as well.
