anybody know what the problem was in Oregon? Seems like a great place to play.
Injuries and Dana recruited over him
Believe Southern was mentioned a bit with this 7-footer:
I miss the individual topics on committed recruits we had in the past. That would let members read compiled info on specific recruits without having to search through a 100 page recruiting thread. I think it would be good to start that back up again.
Found an interesting immediately eligible Grad-Transfer PG on the portal today, Grant Weatherford. He is transferring out of IUPUI due to a change in the head coaching job that occurred there last season.

He was ranked as a 3 star recruit out of high school. He was recruited by Matt Painter to Purdue as a Freshman based on his defensive ability. He was a red shirt his Freshman year at Purdue. He definitely has a chip on his shoulder to prove his ability.
An interesting interview with Weatherford especially beginning at the 20:40 mark where he discusses the program he would want to play his final year at.

"We are really excited to have Kyler and his family join our program,"
to me this is a telling statement. Bryan is not just looking at the player. He is looking at talent, attitude. Work ethic and upbringing. He is bringing in student athletes not hired guns
this program is in the perfect hands right now
I couldn't agree with you more. A few years ago, I saw a post where you mentioned that SIU could have gone after Mullins. I wondered to myself, at THAT time, how good could this former PG be as a head coach. I did some research and everything I found told me he would be a GREAT get for this program. And I still don't think all the positive things I read about him did him justice. He is MENSA/genius smart. He is 100%+ committed. He is 100%+ Saluki. I'm beyond ecstatic that he is leading our basketball program.
And if this team does well this season, just look out because the good players will want to stay and that will bring in similarly good, or even better (if that's possible) players and then we will be back to the sustained success we saw during the Weber, Painter and start of Lowery years.
That’s because Tommy Bell was going to.you probably know the rest of that story 😢
Well this is 2021 but it sucks for us
“ILLWolves 2021 6’7 Isaiah Barnes receives scholarship offer from U of Michigan”
Now that NFL draft is over maybe we can back to the important things like finishing recruiting and filling out the roster
For class balance the last two need to be a grad transfer and a jc transfer.

Unless, of course, there is a player they simply cannot pass on. Go Dawgs !!!!!!!!

Right now they only have one scholarship available for next year. That being said, I have total confidence in what they are doing and of course they know more about what they need than I do. This kid does look like he could be a good one.
