Does anyone know of other instances of someone making the jump from D2 to D1 and the success or lack thereof? (This whole transfer thing is relatively new, so there might not be a whole lot of data out there, which is why I'm asking here instead of trying to research this.)

Several D2 players have made NBA rosters. Notables were "Earl The Pearl" Monroe, Rick Mahorn, Charles Oakley, and Ben Wallace.

Yes, but you have to be a member of the Premium Site to get that information.

Just kidding. I'm pretty sure at least one will go to a Grad Transfer Guard. I have no idea who it might be. Could even be a player who has yet to enter the Transfer Portal.
I think the other will go to an athletic underclass Wing. Cory Hightower and Tyrus Baynham are possibilities. There may be others I don't know about.

you left out possibly the most well known example, Dennis Rodman.... although he isn't on that list either, not sure why. He played college ball at southeastern Oklahoma state
ahhh, nevermind, that college is d2 now, but was naia when rodman played there.... so, forget I said anything lol
