How about one joe c and one ashraf
Bottom line....SIU desperately needs a couple of skilled low post players for next season. We have enough guards at this point.
Villanova did it with 5 guards. Just saying
We have been mercilessly outrebounded in every game. We cannot win with our average height being 6'3.

Hey dogdays, I think you are 100% correct. I also think Bryan knows infinitely more about the game than we and is doing everything he can to rectify the situation. I'm confident he will get this turned around sooner rather than later.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
100 percent agree. Love Bryan. Just pointing out that 5 6’3” guys doesn’t work.

With all due respect, and I mean that, many of those Nova guards could be forwards, if not centers, in the MVC. Also, many of their guards went on to NBA careers. Simply put, the caliber of guards SIU is getting is quite different than what Villanova gets. If Coach starts getting 4 and 5 star guards, I think the urgency to sign bigger, stronger and taller players is vastly minimized.

Methinks you missed my sarcasm 🤣

Oops - me too !!!
While looking at Phenom Hoops Report twitter site, I ran across a video interview with 2020 recruit Kellen Tynes (6'2" PG). Toward the end of the interview, he talks about his recruitment by the Salukis. Though another guard, he sounds like a good player both offensively and defensively.
We desperately need some rumors about big man recruits....even if they are unsubstantiated! 😆
@rawdog
Watching today’s game shows that we desperately need to add size. While it is evident that coach Mullins is doing a great job with the hand he has been dealt he desperately needs more cards. We are getting brutalized on the boards. I am more than sure coach Mullins is going to get this thing turned and we are going to be winning meaningful games again . The faster we get some inside help the sooner that happens.

I’ll see what Schiff knows.

I'm guessing the staff leaves that for transfer season and tries to pick up a BCS big man or two to help out class balance.

I would guess a JUCO big and a prep big. That would put next years roster at:
2 seniors (1 true senior-Jeremec; 1 redshirt-Gooch)
2 juniors(2 true juniors-Francois, JUCO transfer)
6 sophomores(3 true sophomores-Domask, Jones, Brown; 3 redshirt sophomores-Dembele, Davis, Harvey)
3 freshman(three true freshman-Banks, Butler, prep big).
Still wouldn't be shocked to see Gooch do a grad transfer himself. If that happens, hopefully 2 JUCO bigs.
