I'm guessing the staff leaves that for transfer season and tries to pick up a BCS big man or two to help out class balance.
That could potentially expedite the rebuild process. If they were able to land a high level big, in the ilk of say Rolan Roberts, and put him with Jones, Domask, Harvey, etc., I believe this team is top half of the Valley at worst. At the same time, this philosophy is inherently risky. While I have complete faith in Mullins, a young man's decision on where to play basketball is based on MANY factors that are out of coach's control. At the very least, I know the staff will doing everything they possibly can to bring in some height, strength and ability.

Some things I like, but I see no way Brown redshirts. We need 4 point/2 guards who can handle the ball.

agree, no way Brown redshirts. He is improving. He is a good defender, getting better. Good ball handler, maybe even future point guard. When he starts knocking down threes like he did tonight on a more consistent basis, he is going to be way too good to redshirt.

In a perfect world, he SHOULD have redshirted this year. Having a year to get acclimated to the speed and power of the college game would have done him wonders. As it stands, he was needed this year and will learn from game action, which he has been getting plenty of. Really surprised he hasn't found his shooting stroke. We keep hearing how he doesn't miss in practice. Then again, I hit em long and straight on the driving range myself. : )
