Formerly of Eastern Michigan, now at Tallahassee Community College
I would take an Antetokounmpo type. 👍
SIU is showing interest in 6’ 8 JD Muila of Indiana Hills Junior College. This is according to Jucorecruiting.com

Yikes! Those aren't numbers to get excited about.

I see a lot of upside if the free throws can be fixed.

Chris Payton is on the same team as him. Payton was first team all region too.
He's good around the basket. Guys like this need to learn the Rick Barry underhand FT style - can improve in a hurry!
The link above to Muila's stats is from 18-19. His free throw shooting improved a little this season (36%).

I'm not overly worried about stats. Look at Eric Butler. His stats don't jump off the sheet, but he offers a lot, especially defensively. At this point, I'm going to continue to trust in this staff until proven otherwise. If they like a kid, whether he's a recruit or on the team, I'm going to assume they know what they're doing.
First guy that we know about that's taller than 6'5", but I don't know that we're going to see the type of impact we need from a low post for next season.
I agree with seeing potential and stats can certainly be misleading, but my concern is offering a big that seems questionable on if he can provide the kind of impact this team needs anchoring the middle next season. For the record, I think Dembele has potential too. Now if we can land a more known commodity and still get this kid? I won't bat an eye.
I do also trust this staff and their judgement. Just thinking aloud.

New name on the transfer portal that might be worth a look: Justin Brown 6'10 C RS/SO from Chattanooga. Played at Marist HS Chicago. Eligible immediately. There are a lot of names on the transfer portal but not many low post players who are eligible to transfer right away. We don't have the luxury to have someone sit out a year, imo.

I agree! SIU is going to need immediate assistance in the low post next season. Unless they sign 3 low post players for next season, they're going to need 2 that can play immediately and provide a positive impact.
