Agreed. There are a lot of good players out there and kids are still putting their name in the portal in these transfer-crazy times.

But, with schools like Bradley and Indiana State getting multiple commitments this past week and six schollies to fill, there will be some antsiness, at least until that first commitment or two comes along.

Sounds like at least one commitment is coming this week per that tweet from the North Pole hoops fella.

Tynes is Coulibaly which are probably two of our weakest offers IMO. I suppose we will take what we can get.

I actually don’t know if we have officially offered Coulibaly.

We have not officially offered Louth Coulibaly yet but Kellen Tynes we have.

Looks like Liam Robbins is headed to Minn.  He would have been a great in-conference transfer get from Drake.

@dawgsbasketball98 well that means Tynes will

likely be the one committing and I can’t say I’m overly excited...

No SIU ties, but maybe we can land another former Northwestern big from Colgate

Was wondering the same thing, was teammates with Benson for at least a year.  He has impressive numbers though so I'm guessing he's gonna get looks from top tier teams again.

Not to beat a dead horse but remember what our coaching staff accomplished already this year.  We all want good players and a resurgence of basketball at SIU and my guess is that the staff have put more thought and energy into this than any of us have.  They've also had all year to work on this and have some pieces already in place that they know and have coached.  They've also worked on team culture, etc. and know what is needed.  Take a deep breath, this is not over.

WOOF!

Im not totally panicked yet, but it does seem to us armchair observers here that last spring Mullins and Co. seemed to land every target they went after.... and now this spring are losing guys and seemingly striking out on their top targets. I may be wrong though, who knows, maybe the guys we didn't get today weren't even their top targets.

I mean we've lost out on guys to Oregon State, Kansas State, and maybe Cal/Ole Miss.  Who knows if the staff even thought they had much of a shot on any of them.  Just have to remember that they got Domask and Harvey in May of last year.  Lot of talent still out there.

I’m not feeling great about all this.
