I know recruiting is never a certainty until the kids are on campus and in uniform, but, I'm almost certain SIU will land either Makuoi or Coulibaly, maybe even both, and soon. Put it this way, if I were a gambling man, I'd drop a large sum on it happening.
I still think Mullins and Co would like D'Avanzo too. They want their stretch 5!
I hope this is true! You hearing this Saluki Bob? Throw in a talented PG and a 6-7 slasher and we're all set!

At what point can we start complaining that there are too many bigs on the roster. LOL🤫
I hope soon.

Jeremiah Williams is deciding on April 22nd. Hopeful here but worry about Temple
I’ve heard we will be getting 6’5 Guard AJ Staton-McCray! He’s an athletic guard that brings toughness to the floor. Can score in multiple ways and he also defends and rebounds. McCray was named to the SIAA 1st team and Academic team. Offers from Illinois St, Buffalo and DePaul and others! Hope it’s true! Definitely could start next year along side Jones and Harvey!

Well this might mean they're out on Williams but he seems like a similar player. This would be exciting.

😂
I would not hold your breath waiting on Williams. We all know how recruitment of CPL kids go. McCray would be a real nice pick up if true. 🤗

I am pretty sure Bryan is a firm believer in a 4 guard offense.
Doubtful we would carry more than 3 big guys even if we could.
It would be a nice delima though.
Heffernan stated there may be an update today any ideas on who
He probably just found out that Jimmy Beane isn't going to play here and he is just trying to confirm.
*eye roll*
To be fair Heff hun on to the Beane thing too long. There was zero chance he nor Payton would ever play for SIU. Heff brought this on himself by holding firm on both. Heff seems like a nice guy and is handcuffed by what he can and can not Write.
still fun to take pit shots though 🤣
I kid and I know what he can and can't write about.
It would be nice if someone over there actually wrote about the stuff they CAN write about.
Start cranking out some stories already.
Regularly.
More than 5 paragraphs.

Four guard lineup with Domask being considered a guard. Positions are loosely defined in his offense, as they are in most of college hoops these days. For example, I am 100% against a 4 guard lineup with all players being 6'0. But give me a couple 6'5 guys in there on the wings who are athletic and long and can play inside or out? Call me happy.
Admittedly I don't know much about Stanton-McCray. From what little video I could, find he looks like he is pretty athletic and can get to the rim. Showed him knock down some shots from outside as well. I always worry about guys moving so far from home sticking around through tough times, which undoubtedly he'll have to deal with at some point. Personally a little biased towards Jeremiah Williams although they look to have similar skill sets. Feel like he could be all Valley before it's all said and done.

Where the heck is Saluki Bob? I miss that guy.
@bleacher-bum I think you are correct on the 3 bigs, unless one has range and can play more than just the 5. As of right now I see Muila and Dembele as 5s , one more and I think we are done at that position.

Wish I knew. Lost touch. Hope he is ok.

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 ....you said DePaul.....sorry, I'm from Chicago. They haven't been relevant since Ray Meyer was the coach. SIU has asked them repeatedly for home and home series over the years and DePaul continues to act like they're too good to play SIU. It's amazing to me that they're content staying in the Big East (granted there's a lot of money to be made in that conference), considering they're the perennial doormat and don't have a shot at post season play by staying in that conference. They need to take a step down to possibly the A-10 to see if that suits them better.....and it may not. DePaul could find themselves getting their a$$ kicked in that conference too.
Sorry, I know this is off-topic. Just can't stand DePaul's arrogance.
