Start paying attention to grad transfers I think they are the main targets
Then we need an update 😁 only 1 grad transfer on the list. I am sure someone on here has a plan . 🧐 This site is always on it .
YES! I was sure he was going to choose DePaul. Nice to have some momentum here after we were all freaking out.
"we", you gotta mouse in your pocket?

Awesome! Had a great feeling about D'Avanzo all along. If another big is added, I still believe Adong Makoui is the top choice at present, and I'd love to see him here. SIU could really use his athleticism and skill set, particularly defensively (although some high-flying dunks never hurt momentum).
Additionally, an experienced guard/play-maker is another top priority. I'm not sure we'll cash in on the high end with one of these though as it'll be tough to ensure anyone incoming of potential available playing time; especially if the one-time waiver is granted for transferring and Verplancken is immediately eligible to play.
If we get both of the above, where I'd like to see the additional scholarship used would be on a freshman wing. Hopefully one with lots of length and upside.

Per Heff. The new rule would only apply D-1 to D-1 not D-2 to D-1. So he has to sit next year even if they change that rule
That's interesting. I don't know if that's totally accurate. Granted, it's been a while since I looked it up, but I don't remember language like that being specified. My initial impression was it would apply to any student-athlete under the NCAA umbrella; D1, D2, D3.
If it doesn't apply that way, it should. It hurts D1 mid and low-majors the most if not.

Again that is per Heff
I have no clue how it works. That’s what I have you guys for 😁
The biggest thing that’s clear to me about the new recruits is how overwhelmingly better they are compared to the guys we had to have transfer out to open up the scholarships.
JD is far, far, far superior than Jeremic. Also two years of JD compared to one of Jeremic, which doesn’t even count since he was out of eligibility.
I like Verplancken over Francois because he appears to be much more well rounded than Francois, who was just a spot up shooter and wasn’t even that consistent at that. Verplancken appears able to get his own shot and create.
D’Avanzo is a MAJOR upgrade over Gooch. We got a look at Brendon for four years (including his redshirt season). We never saw anything close to what Anthony’s highlights show he is capable of, even if it came at the D2 level (best D2 league there is). I don’t think Gooch ever even got a dunk in a game here. He was limited.
So clearly BMull has a plan and it’s one I trust now more than ever. I must admit, the 6 spots to fill made me a bit concerned when the offseason started but he’s doing big things. We have the right man for the job, as we all know.
Under the previous staff, we would lose promising pieces like Jordan Caroline or Deion Lavender and end up with replacements like Rudy Stratneiks, Jeremy Postell (remember him?) and Jonathan Wiley to replace them.

7'1 Center from Baltimore, MD. 2 years of eligibility left. Averaged 7.5 PPG, 8.9 RPG, 2.1 BPG in his Sophomore season at Coppin State.
Now that we have D'Avanzo and Verplancken, both of whom I believe will be solid additions, I agree with the idea of a grad-transfer PG and 6'7 athletic wing.
Jones played his way into being a solid PG for us, and if needed to be the guy next year, I'm ok with that. I agree, I would like to see another proven PG brought in to either split time with Jones or to take over the point to free Jones up to use as we need.
I say this understanding that we will also have an unproven (at this level) freshman PG Banks who could prove to be the answer.
All in all, we are on our way to a solid team for next season.
It seams there is a lifetime bet going on amongst Saluki-insiders about a true 7 footer signing and playing at SIU.

Wow!
SIU should be a no brainer decision here IMHO.
We just may have a Saluki Insider nipple piercing yet!
March on triumphantly!
Maybe this is the hyphen recruit 🤔🤔🤔
I can already see the”sizzling bacon” signs in the Dawg Pound! Thanks Bryan, this is fun again.

Not really. URI is A-10 , VCU good program, same with Old Dominion. I think we are right in the mix but will be tough getting kid from the east coast.

I wish but no I was just wrong lol.
