not sure why you’d want your best player only playing 28 minutes, I agree some rest would be nice, but having him sit for a third of the game would be a bit extreme.
Not if you are up 30 🤣
I was going to ask if ask if D'Avanzo was a Brad Korn type player, but then I found the video a few pages back. Along with his quick, accurate three-point shooting, he can drive and post up.
I really liked how his team recovered most of his blocked shots. I never understood guys blocking the ball into the stands. It looks dramatic, but you're just giving the ball back to the other team. If you can get that much of the ball, tip it to yourself or a team mate. At least keep it in play where your team has a chance to grab it, geez.
Okay, rant over.
If we don't get another post player, I would bet on he and Muila sharing the 5, unless Dembele can stay healthy and contribute. Post players get into foul trouble too easily and need a rest more often when they're really banging inside. I'm sure they will play together some, esp. if we're getting killed inside, but not both start unless we get another big.
Again that is per Heff
I have no clue how it works. That’s what I have you guys for 😁
I am not an NCAA rules expert, but Heff is partially correct on this one. The part that he is correct about is that the pending transfer legislation is a Division I Council issue.
However, Division I is the only NCAA division with that transfer restriction. Additionally, the restriction only applies to Division I football, basketball, baseball and hockey. Division I sports like volleyball, track and soccer have no such rule. Division II has no such rule. So, if there is no rule in Division II and the Division I rule is eliminated for basketball, then what?
We should find out shortly, but I'm not so sure that he is completely correct. NCAA rules are convoluted and overly complex. Let's wait and see.

He was talking about Domask, not Harvey! 😉 😉 😎
I have zero doubt MD will be ready to play 40 per game all season long

That's great.
There is zero reason to believe that, but...um... Thanks for your "faith"! Sheesh.

Yep, good call: 40 minutes per game. Every game. That will be great.
My bad.

“Jeffrey Jordan sighting. He chose Illinois over Valparaiso. Members of the Valpo baseball team made a Facebook group recruiting Jeffrey to the school and they were supposedly suspended several games.”

Is it illegal to hit on recruits Moms ? : )
We need another 5 man. While I like Muila a lot for this team, I'm not sold that he's a 30 minutes/game type of contributor; injury history, poor free-throw shooting, possible penchant for fouling etc. and if somebody goes down with an injury for a lengthy amount of time, we'll be in a tight spot again.
D'Avanzo will get minutes at the 5, but that'll likely be more situational than regular and we'll probably prefer it that way. He'll get more minutes at the 4 than the 5 spot, IMO.

I will defer that one to the Bobber
