If 6' 8" is the tallest we have, I think we'll be smallish in the MVC. We need that 6' 13" dude from Coppin.
He'd get a lot of love playing for the Dawgs.
Or the 6' 9" guy from Daytona St.
Medley-Bacon would have to sit out a year unless the NCAA revises its transfer rule for the 20-21 season.
I think it is going to be passed
Yep, good call: 40 minutes per game. Every game. That will be great.
My bad.
I didn't say he should be playing 40 per game, just that I'm confident he knows his conditioning needs to be there. Everyone could tell MD looked gassed towards the end of the year, and it's a safe assumption that he recognized that as well. And if someone has the work ethic to step into the Valley and win FOY and NOY, it's a safe assumption that he's going to keep improving every facet of his game and conditioning in order to get better and stronger.

Awesome! Had a great feeling about D'Avanzo all along. If another big is added, I still believe Adong Makoui is the top choice at present, and I'd love to see him here. SIU could really use his athleticism and skill set, particularly defensively (although some high-flying dunks never hurt momentum).
Additionally, an experienced guard/play-maker is another top priority. I'm not sure we'll cash in on the high end with one of these though as it'll be tough to ensure anyone incoming of potential available playing time; especially if the one-time waiver is granted for transferring and Verplancken is immediately eligible to play.
If we get both of the above, where I'd like to see the additional scholarship used would be on a freshman wing. Hopefully one with lots of length and upside.
Per Heff. The new rule would only apply D-1 to D-1 not D-2 to D-1. So he has to sit next year even if they change that rule
Hefferman, as usual, is wrong. If the rule is passed it applies to D2 and he will not have to sit.
Anyone else smell Bacon? 🥓
No, but I do smell oil burning.

Getting Bacon would be a huge get (no pun intended). 7 footers with enough athletic ability to actually contribute are rare. I’m not holding my breath but it would be a coup by Mullins if he could pull it off.

7'1 Center from Baltimore, MD. 2 years of eligibility left. Averaged 7.5 PPG, 8.9 RPG, 2.1 BPG in his Sophomore season at Coppin State.
I'm assuming we may learn of his choice by 4pm CST. He is probably announcing from Baltimore.
Bacon to VCU
Where was that? Still waiting on twitter
